How far in advance should I book carolers?
We recommend booking at least 4–6 weeks in advance, especially for popular December dates. For corporate events or large gatherings, 2–3 months is ideal.
How much do carolers cost?
Pricing varies widely by group size, duration, and location. A typical small group (3–4 singers) runs $300–$600 for a one-hour performance. Larger ensembles or longer events cost more. Contact groups directly for quotes.
What types of events can I hire carolers for?
Carolers are popular for corporate holiday parties, HOA events, retail storefronts, private home parties, hospital visits, senior living communities, and more.
Do carolers travel?
Most groups list a service radius (e.g., 30 miles). You can filter by location on our directory. Some groups will travel further for the right event.
What repertoire do carolers typically perform?
Most groups perform a mix of traditional carols (Silent Night, O Holy Night, Deck the Halls), contemporary holiday songs, and popular favorites. Groups with Victorian/Dickens styles focus on traditional repertoire.
Can I request specific songs?
Many groups accommodate song requests, especially if given advance notice. Ask about this when contacting a group — most are happy to work with you on a custom set list.
Do carolers need a stage or PA system?
A cappella or acoustic groups require no equipment. Some groups offer amplification for larger venues. Clarify this when booking so you can plan accordingly.
What should I provide for the performers?
At minimum, a designated performance area and access to the venue. For longer events, a green room or holding space and refreshments are appreciated. Check with the group.
Are carolers available outside of December?
While December is peak season, some groups perform year-round for churches, theater productions, and special events. Check individual group listings or contact them directly.
How do I verify a group is legitimate?
Look for groups with a website, Google reviews, and clear contact information. Our Featured and VIP listings have been verified and include owner contact details. You can also ask for references.
